Henrik Ibsen’s ‘A Doll’s House’ was just one of the many exciting featured plays brought to life by Sherman Theatre in 2015.
Shocking audiences on its first outing, this play – and its figurehead, Nora Helmer – has been called ‘a symbol throughout the world, for women fighting for liberation and equality’.
Revived in a full-blooded production by director Rachel O’Riordan (Iphigenia In Splott), A Doll’s House has lost none of its power to provoke.
This is the story of Nora, loving wife and doting mother in a middle-class household, seemingly content until a figure from her past returns seeking recompense, and Nora realises her life is not her own…
How we helped
Having produced previous e-trailers for Romeo & Juliet and Arabian Nights, we jumped at the chance to produce one for this renowned play.
Playing on the themes of the production, we aimed to produce a video that was captivating but also eerie and distortedly confusing. We created this by combing footage and stop-motion imagery to produce a jarring and memorable trailer. We overlaid this with music from the show itself, by Simon Slater.
