Iphigenia in Splott is a powerful adaptation of a Greek myth that drives home the high price people pay for society’s shortcomings.
The play sold out audiences at Sherman Theatre with extra performance dates added. It was picked up for the Edinburgh Fringe and selected to tour with the National Theatre London, making it the first Welsh production to do so in 34 years, while the lead actress, Sophie Melville, was short-listed for the Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2016.
But before all of this occurred, Sherman Theatre approached us to produce the show’s main image.
How we helped
Before the actress was cast, we shot the image in the show’s titular location of Splott, following consultation and concept development with the Sherman team. After some time, we reshot the image with Sophie and re-applied it to all marketing collateral.
