The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is a powerhouse of Welsh music, arts and culture.
It’s not just a university; it boasts rehearsal and performance spaces for some of Wales’ biggest musical acts, from opera to string quartets, with patrons like the Prince of Wales, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Michael Sheen, and Bryn Terfel.
It hosts over 300 public performances every year and has collaborated with the Welsh National Opera and BBC NOW.
The RWCMD wanted an in-house newspaper to shine a light on its creative work and facilities for students, prospective students, and audience members.
How we helped
We set to work developing the concept and editorial designs for a modern, highly visual newspaper that would advertise RWCMD’s productions and its work behind the scenes.
Three issues of the newspaper were produced, giving RWCMD its own creative communication tool for staff and students and reinforcing the college’s role in South Wales’ creative arts industry.
