Welsh National Opera celebrated 70 years at the helm of Welsh music and the arts with their tour de force, Cavalleria rusticana & Pagliacci.
When WNO first opened its doors, Cavalleria rusticana & Pagliacci was its first ever show. Seventy years later, they marked the occasion with a brand new revival of one of opera’s best loved shows.
“It’s Leoncavallo’s washed-up, ageing clowns which most tug the heartstrings as tragedy overpowers this clever play within a play.”
How we helped
The main production image for the Cavalleria rusticana & Pagliacci opera began with an in depth consultation. Through this, we were able to establish a powerful idea to represent the production and its key characters.
The photoshoot was held in our studio and the final image was used across street advertising, digital media, and marketing brochures, and heralded a fresh season of WNO opera in 2016.
