Overview
The client
Based in east Cardiff, Cardiff Self Storage was previously a single-location entity that had built up a loyal customer base and word of mouth recommendations, selling storage units and warehousing spaces for rent.
The brief
The client approached us looking for a digital partner who could deliver a full rebrand and strategy for their digital presence - including the website, social channels, digital & print advertising, art direction & more.
They wanted a personality-led brand that connected with audiences and confidently held its own against high street storage brands.
Our approach
From initial brand workshops & consultations, we developed a bright, young, modern brand that knew its stuff about storage.
With Spotify playlists, lifestyle blogs and Pinterest boards in addition to evergreen relevant content, we brought new content to its audiences, all delivered in monthly newsletters and regular social ad campaigns.
We developed a new website to make booking storage as simple as the click of a button with a new bespoke automated booking system, the first of its kind in the storage industry.

A custom-built booking system for personalised storage
We designed & developed a new storage booking system so blue self storage customers could safely & securely book their storage unit online, negating the need for staff involvement or manual bookings.
The system uses automated & custom ticket-style ‘booking passes’ for each unique customer, with QR codes, entry pin codes and fully personalised information.

Launching new locations with expansive SEO & digital campaigns
Marketing the opening of their new Llanishen location with an expansive SEO and digital campaign leading to a public on-site event.
The digital campaign included social ads, Google paid search, web content, e-newsletter campaigns & data collection and aggressive SEO development.
The Llanishen facility achieved 100% occupancy in just 8 months.
