Two new digital hubs for the leading British journal for socio-legal studies

Overview

The Journal of Law and Society is the leading British journal for socio-legal studies. Collaborating with Cardiff University's School of Law and Politics' Centre of Law and Society, they work on cutting-edge research and produce an annual electronic special supplement that receives worldwide citations and has a highly regarded Book Reviews section. To showcase the journal and provide information about the Centre, two new websites were required.

Solution

A new multi-site platform was developed, allowing full control and flexibility for the client - and maximum usability for visitors. A family style was applied to ensure consistency between both hubs, but with a distinct visual feel for each to represent each website’s core offering.

Multi-site functionality with streamlined content and UX

Developed as a multi-site, the website architecture was designed to offer clean, accessible browsing for visitors, with a focus on flipping between both sites with ease.

Before After

Typographic treatment for a new editorial style

A strong brand application across both platforms delivers a unified and consistent style, combining the Strawford and Superior Title typefaces for a simple and clean look with emphasis.

The website is looking brilliant! We have had lots of positive feedback, and everyone is very happy.
